Do you like fresh air, rolling green fields of sheep, mountain views, rocky shores, wildflowers and endless birdsong?

Tucked away at the back of our house, the cottage is a comfortable mix of modern and traditional. So my granny's china is on the dresser, but the shower is brand new and powerful. The rooms are bright and clean, but there are exposed stone walls and a log fire for cosy evenings. You have satellite TV, DVD player, books and games but may choose instead to sit out on your stone patio and look at the stars - they are incredible here. We have an outdoor fireplace to keep you toasty - don't forget the marshmallows.

You have a large bedroom upstairs, with one double bed and a sofa bed and a view of the sea over the treetops. A cot is available on request, but our house isn't suitable for toddlers, just babies or older kids, as it's an open staircase. The cottage has kitchen facilities but both local restaurants do take away and we can also provide evening meals, delivered restaurant-style to your cottage, featuring local produce. We love to cook :)

Please note, we have three dogs, and three cats. They roam freely around but they aren't allowed in the cottage. They love to chase a stick though, and love to be petted. The dogs are all friendly and harmless, but they probably don't want you to know that ;)

Reviews from some of our guests

“I stayed in numerous B&Bs and cottages throughout Ireland and this one definitely makes a top-3 list. Loved the quiet, tranquil location, playful pets, fireplace, exceptional cleanliness, great shower (which is a rare case in cottages), close proximity to many of the Beara peninsula sights. Maggie was perfect in communicating with us and providing a warm welcome. Highly recommended.” July 2020
“Couldn't recommend Maggie and Paddy's place highly enough. Maggie organised a seamless self check-in, within all the Covid guidelines. Any questions you might have are probably covered in Maggie's brilliant Digital Guidebook, and for anything else she was always very responsive. Best praise I can give the cottage is that after full days seeing the most beautiful parts of the world we couldn't wait to return back to it in the evenings. If you're looking for a taste of real Irish countryside then this place ticks all of the boxes!” July 2020
